Ahhhhh!!! Temptation!!!!
Listening to Julia Nunes on my iPod at school just makes me want to dance!!! I’m fighting such a strong urge right now to jump up on the cafeteria table & belt out the lyrics to her new songs. This album is so bloody fantastic!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!

Why is everything changing?? :(
My computer sneakily updated my browser last night to this new, annoying browser that confuses me and tumblr looks different and it’s only a matter of time before Facebook switches me over to timeline without my consent and everything’s changing and I don’t like it :( *Sigh* At least I’ve got Julia Nunes’ new album to calm me down and make me happy :)

As sad as I am that reading week is over, I really...
I’ve had an absolutely amazing week! I got to hang out with my family, enjoy several girls nights and group outtings, and see a whole bunch of friends that I haven’t seen in ages. So in all honesty, it’s been so incredible that I’m alright with it coming to an end. It’s time to get back to the books and focus till April! Hope everyone else who was on reading week...

Always the best
There’s always that one group of friends. The ones that you can go forever without seeing and then when you’re all together again it feels like no time has passed. The ones that always make for excellent conversation and happy memories. The ones that always make you smile no matter what. The ones that you could spend hours/days/weeks with and every minute would be a blast. The ones...

Good lordy!!!
Updating one’s itunes library is apparently a full day endeavour!! Just wanted to move my library from the family computer to my laptop and good gracious, I’ve been at it for the past several hours and it looks like it will take a few more yet! And it’s the worst because the majority of this process is WAITING… *sigh* Rawr technology.

Heyy...heyy tumblr....did ya miss me? ;)
Internet has been out in the house of Bissonnette for the past four days so internetting has been an impossibility (besides the few minutes I managed to sneak on my friend’s laptop on Saturday…) Anywho, I missed you terribly! I want to update you and share all my reading week stories so far, but gracious I’m rather sleepy! Needless to say, my holiday so far has been extremely...

A Stirring of Romanticism (Revised Version) ~...
In anxious peace sits the troubled poet, Contemplating maladies of thought’s inventions Toils she with the grandeur of seductive Nothingness beyond her tired Fingers’ grasp Though she idles, Discontented with the voluminous silence of her mind, The world beyond the mirrored glass Rages with poetic violence Darkling she listens, Many a time half in love with Nature’s breath Such melodious furies As...

Revisions happened!! I need opinions!!
I made some edits to a poem I wrote called “A Stirring of Romanticism” (which I’ve posted twice before I believe) and I intend on submitting it for the writing club anthology today so I just wanted to share the new version and see what people think :) You can go back in my blog to find the older version or if you want me to post it again, let me know! I’ll post the new...

Bitter-Sweet
The sweet: Today in Romantics class, we finally started discussing in detail the life and legend of John Keats and I sat through the entirety of the lecture consumed with emotion, trying not to burst into tears of joy. Discussing this great man’s love and passions was a perfect compliment for the upcoming holiday (aka Valentine’s Day)and it left me dizzy with my head full of dazzling...

Dear academic world of published historical texts:
You are frustrating me. WHY is it only possible to find “selected” letters of John Keat’s available correspondance? Why can’t all of his letters be published in one complete collection? Every collection of his works I’ve found to date, including what I thought was my “complete” collection of his works, only include a small selection of his letters and...

Summer Moon in a Winter Sky ~ Sammy Bissonnette...
Dear moon, why do you glow that shade of gentle gold? You are far too warm for the icy clouds that push at your field of light. You belong in an August sky, with the summer wind feeding your fire and breathing heat across the land. The clouds pass over you like blackened cotton, and still you do not relinquish your place in the sky. The world is black and shivering but for the humming warmth...

Sensations of Spring
Oh how absolutely lovely it is to open one’s bedroom window to the overwhelming beauty of early Spring weather after weeks of winter chill! My bedroom is delighting under the delicious smell of earth and gentle wind sighing in through the open window and the comforting blue of the sky smiles from behind blankets of cotton, complimenting the bursts of green that are tentatively exploding...

On Poetry
poetdreamer: Poetry lies between Love and heartbreak poetry lies between light and darkness        It is within our laughter        It is within our screams        It fills the tears we cry              whether in joy or sadness It sews us up when we fall apart It connects us when we are alone Poetry is in the air we breath,       the voice we speak,       the heart that beats. Poetry is in the...

Since I shall be writing about Keats’ poem “Ode on a Grecian Urn” for my next essay, that will mean that I will have written three (count ‘em) THREEEEEE essays in THREEEEE different university English classes on that very...
