Dear academic world of published historical texts:
You are frustrating me. WHY is it only possible to find “selected” letters of John Keat’s available correspondance? Why can’t all of his letters be published in one complete collection? Every collection of his works I’ve found to date, including what I thought was my “complete” collection of his works, only include a small selection of his letters and never the same ones! And they’re always attached to a collection of his poetry. I HAVE his poetry. I want to read his letters! The book I own only consists of ONE letter to Fanny Brawne when I know for a fact there were a great deal more. Maybe I’m just not good at looking for these things or maybe the internet/bookstores are against me and are hiding all of their collections of John Keats’ letters, but so far my plight has been frustratingly unsuccessful! :(
*Sigh*
SO! If anyone has cared to read this mini rant all the way through and happen know of somewhere that I can find this brilliant man’s COMPLETE collection of letters, then let me know please!!! I would very muchly like to expand my knowledge of him and explore my Romantic sensibilities a little more. Everytime we discuss him in class my hearts just explodes with joy, so I feel his complete collection of writing would be a welcome addition to my bookshelves :)
